Lauingen (Donau)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>(Deutschland)<\/strong><\/p>Die an der Donau gelegene Herzogstadt Lauingen, auch bekannt als Albertus-Magnus-Stadt, wurde im Jahr 1200 gegr\u00fcndet und ist heute eine moderne Stadt mit ca. 11.000 Einwohnern. Die Fl\u00e4che betr\u00e4gt ca. 45 km\u00b2. Gepr\u00e4gt wird die Stadt durch viele Betriebe und einem Bildungszentrum f\u00fcr Umweltschutz. Hier befindet sich auch die erste im orientalischen Stil erbaute Moschee des Freistaates Bayern. Wahrzeichen der Stadt ist der von 1457 bis 1478 erbaute Schimmelturm, der mit seiner H\u00f6he von 54 Metern einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Stadt Lauingen und deren Umgebung bietet.<\/p>
Die Partnerschaft mit der Stadt Lauingen (Donau) wurde am 10. Juni 1999 besiegelt.<\/p>
